If I were forced to pick just one song, I would choose “The Weight” by The Band as my top choice. The brilliant lyrics and music from Robbie Robertson tell a story so vivid it reminds me of an epic troubadour tale, almost an Odyssey-type journey. Of course, the amazing singing and beautiful harmonies from the band members, Pops, and the Staple Singers during *The Last Waltz* are near perfect. As soon as Levon Helm begins singing, you’re drawn into a rock masterpiece.
